Day 30: John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) - 31 Days of HELL-O-Ween 2026

31 Days of HELL-O-Ween 2026:
John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)

It's one of my favorite horror movies, John Carpenter's The Thing" (1982).  In this case, it's the Blair-Thing singing "I Am the Walrus" from the Beatles; the lyrics seemed appropriate.

If you are a fan of "John Carpenter's The Thing" and want a story from the alien's point of view, there is Peter Watts (author of "Blindsight") wrote "The Things" short story--It's a great story, although the last line is a bit of tinfoil in the chewing gum.  You can listen to it HERE, or find a different reader of your liking on the YouTubes.  It's about one-hour, give-or-take.

Whew!  Tomorrow's the last day!  Here's to hoping I don't trip on the finish line.  😃
