31 Days of HELL-O-Ween 2026:
Scanners (1981)
David Cronenberg makes his third appearance in this year's "31 Days of HELL-O-Ween" with Scanners (1981), a fun movie about a psychic war with telepaths reading minds, manipulating thoughts, and making people's heads explode.
Well, I made it to the end of "31 Days of HELL-O-Ween", as this post says. Every year, it seems like an impossible task that somehow gets done and every year I am confounded as to how. This year, I did it in a somewhat different format and, like a dum-dum, decided to make it even harder for myself by included an animated .gif with each one for no apparent reason.
Over all, most of them were fun, but there are a few that could use a bit more work or could have been better, of course. As for next year, I guess I'll burn that bridge when I get to it...
Here's an Animated .GIF from Scanners representing how I feel at the end of this dumb, self-imposed challenge which I take all too seriously for some, even dumber, reason. Originally, I was gonna have an inset panel with the "Boom!" and head explode before I realized that should be the animated bit for this last post for "31 Days of HELL-O-Ween" for 2026:
