31 Days of HELL-O-Ween 2024:
Vincent Price (1911 - 1993)
From "The Fly", "Return of the Fly", "The Tingler", "The House of Wax", "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" (and his Return), the Roger Corman Edgar Allan Poe series, to the Egghead on "Batman", Vincent Price appeared in a great many movies and shows from my childhood and seems just the kind of actor that deserves to be in the "31 Days of HELL-O-Ween" pantheon--right up there with Roger Corman.

STEP ONE: Here are the quick pencils done with colored pencil on 8-1/2" x 11" extra-heavy toned cardstock.

STEP TWO: Here's the first pass with Acrylic paint.

STEP THREE: And here's the finished painting. There was something about the position of the nose and mouth which kept bothering me, so I repainted the lower part of his nose/mouth and moved it up about 1/8". It funny how much of a difference such a little change can make. In this case, I think for the better...

Done with Acrylic on 8-1/2" x 11" extra-heavy toned cardstock.
